INFONEWS.CO.ID ■ President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) Said Iqbal said Prabowo Subianto would attend the May Day commemoration at Istora Senayan. Prabowo is planned to give a speech in front of tens of thousands of KSPI members.
"We will May Day at Istora Senayan and we have confirmed that we will invite Prabowo for the May Day speech. Naturally because KSPI is a supporter 02. Mr. Prabowo, May 1 at around 12:15 a.m. Said Iqbal at Prabowo's residence, Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta, on Friday (4/27/2019) night.
Previously, Said Iqbal also met with President Joko Widodo at the Bogor Palace, stating the KSPI plan to hold a commemoration of Labor Day. He said Jokowi advised that the warning be carried out in an orderly and peaceful manner.
"We also convey, we, I, KSPI conveyed that we will be on May day. Jokowi has permitted, it is constitutional, only to maintain order and peace. The essence of the message is peaceful," he said.
He said there was no discussion regarding the election when he met with Jokowi.
According to him, the discussion carried out was only related to Jokowi's promise to revise PP No. 78 of 2015 concerning Wages.
In addition to the May Day issue and his meeting with Jokowi, Said Iqbal also stated that he had received a message from Prabowo after the election.
Said Iqbal said Prabowo asked KSPI and its supporters not to act violently.
