JBN.CO.ID ■ The death of senior cleric Shalahuddin Wahid or Gus Sholah made Indonesian people grieve, including President Joko Widodo.
The President immediately mourned the funeral home, Jl Bangka Raya Number 2C, Mampang Prapatan District, South Jakarta, on Monday 3 February 2020. He expressed his condolences for the death of Gus Sholah.
Jokowi conveyed that Gus Sholah was a role model of Indonesian citizens.
"I am on behalf of the government, the state, and all Indonesian people to express their deepest grief for the passing of Mr. KH Dr. Ir Shalahuddin Wahid, last night at 20.55 WIB at RSHK," he said.
He prayed that the good deeds of Gus Sholah were accepted at Allah SWT. He also prayed that the family left behind would be given patience and patience by God Almighty.
Jokowi then spoke about his impression of Gus Sholah.
"He is a Muslim scholar who is our role model and of course all of us in the Indonesian community are very lost on his return to Rahmatullah," he said. ■ Viona
